The Home Access Center is an online information system that allows parents and guardians access to view student information such as attendance, grades, transportation designation, and even the child's food service PIN. Click here to sign up for Home Access.
The instructional day begins at 7:40 and ends at 2:55. We ask that your child be dropped off after 7:15 a.m. to ensure adult supervision and no later than 7:40 so your child will get to the classroom on time. If arriving after 7:40 your child will be counted tardy. After three tardies, the teacher will contact the parent. After ten tardies, an official school attendance letter will be sent home.
Changes to dismissal need to made by 2:15 pm by contacting the front office. School personnel will have a link on the website for parents to complete, and a pink note will then be delivered to the student's teacher. At TVES, we are focused on the safety of our students. Having multiple people knowing that there is a change in transportation will help us. An additional change to the dismissal process is the use of checklists. Every grade level will use a checklist for every student during dismissal to account for daily.
Leaving Early for Appointments
If you need to pick your child up early, please have your child (or you may also) send a note to the office, preferably prior to the start of the school day. The note should contain the following information:
- student's name and teacher
- the date
- what time the student should be picked up in the office
- if the student will return to school or if he is leaving for the day
Please notify your child's teacher in advance if you are planning on bringing any goodies to celebrate your child’s birthday. The best time for celebrations would be after 2:00 but no later than 2:30. We encourage parents to have the snack be the same for all students and easy to distribute. We ask that only the parents or guardians attend and distribute any goodies. Invitations for parties outside of the classroom must be provided for all of the students in order to be passed out by the teacher. If your child has a food allergy, please feel free to send non-perishable treat items to store in the classroom. In the event that your child cannot have a birthday treat due to allergies, he or she will be offered one of these safe treats.
