Math Mission Statement

The mission of the Round Rock ISD Mathematics Department is to provide the vision and leadership necessary to ensure a mathematics education of the highest quality for each and every student.
So, what is mathematics?
  • Mathematics is the study of patterns and relationships.
So, what do mathematicians do?
  • Mathematicians notice patterns and relationships.
  • Mathematicians describe patterns and relationships.
  • Mathematicians generalize patterns and relationships.
These are the 3 things we want our students to be doing everyday in our mathematics classrooms, whether students are specifically studying addition, graphing, fractions, shapes, or any number of other concepts.
